Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I'm so behind in almost everything. I'm so behind that it's making me irritable and frustrated. So today, I'm trying to get myself back into the Holiday Spirit and get my home in order for Thanksgiving.
One thing I would like to do a little different this year is a tablescape. I've never done that before and I really think that making the table setting more inviting would make the meal so much more enjoyable. It sort of welcomes family to come sit down and enjoy time together.

I really liked this idea! It's right in my price range. I have a porch full of pumpkins. I also noticed that the local grocery has them marked down very low or if you want to go to the Dollar Store you could purchase plastic or ceramic pumpkins and reuse them year to year. Pine cones are easy to find, just make sure you don't bring any little critters in with them! The runner is even something easy to make....
I also liked this idea. The votives you can find for $1 at Pier One and again I already have some pumpkins from Halloween. The faux leaves would be easy to find at the Dollar Store or at a local craft store.
Get creative. Look around your home and see what you can use to dress up your dinner table. Feel free to post your ideas! And....Happy Holidays!
