It was a day, just like any other day. But I was hoping for something a little different.
It was my BIRTHDAY yesterday! Yes, another year older - another year wiser?
I would have to say no the "wiser" part. I felt like a little kid. I had a good old pity party. Why, do you ask? Because I was hoping that maybe out of three kids and a husband...I might get a card or maybe even a "Happy Birthday!". I got nothing. Well, I take that back....my husband did offer to take me to McDonald's for lunch (and that is NO joke). I thankfully declined and they went while I folded underwear and socks. So as the day went on, I got a little more down. I even sat the cake mix on the counter to see if anyone would open it and whip up a magical cake for mommy. Now, I have to admit that my husband did treat me to dinner the night before. And it was so very yummy - but, we go there a lot. It was kind of a normal thing we do.
So, it's the next day and I just feel like poo. It is making me reflect of myself. Perhaps there is a reason no one cared to wish me a Happy Birthday. Usually me and my friends go out to dinner or lunch for each others birthdays but that didn't happen either. Actually, no one really calls anymore.
