Time to Tackle Some Dirt!

I woke up this morning and already feel exhausted.  I went to bed as soon as the kids did, well technically.  I did go to sleep...but these kids...they kept me up all night.  Now, the funny thing about THAT is, my kids are older.  We don't have diaper changes or light night bottle feedings.  I'm talking about a 18 year old and an 11 year.  The five year old slept all night (awesome).

So, I'm tired.  Then I get up and look at my home and what little energy I had in my body has suddenly been zapped into thin air.  UGH!  Another day of a messy home.  I'm so stressed over my house.  I work from home part time but I can only truly work when the kids are at school.  But in the back of my mind I know that the house needs picked up and it drives me bonkers!  So I have decided to try a little challenge for myself to make picking up a little fun today.  Once I get the kids off to school, I am going to do little time challenges.  SPEED CLEANING!  I mean, why not?!  So set the timer, turn on some motivating music and push yourself to tackle one room at a time.  For me, I'm going to start with the downstairs and end with the kids rooms.  I know I can do this!

Now, I am going to say, I'm not doing any deep cleaning today.  But, this is a great way to lead into our SPRING CLEANING challenge that me and a couple of other bloggers are putting together.  I can't wait to share it with you guys!  Spring is right around the corner...and so is spring cleaning.

Mr. Incredible: No matter how many times you save the world, it always manages to get back in jeopardy again. Sometimes I just want it to stay saved! You know, for a little bit? I feel like the maid; I just cleaned up this mess! Can we keep it clean for... for ten minutes!
