Blogging - What Am I Doing?

I started this blog a little while ago as a hobby.  I have found that I truly enjoy writing and learning new things.  I also enjoy the feedback.

I am a stay at home mother of three kids who are all now in school.  I also work from home part time.  So I am truly craving some adult time and conversation.  Therefore, blogging has been a big help in that area.  But, with all of this new excitement I'm feeling a bit lost.  I would like to find a blogging mentor.  Is there such a thing?

I am still learning this craft but would like to learn more.  For all of you seasoned bloggers out there, what advice would you give someone?  What platform did you find easiest to use?  What is some general blogging etiquette that all bloggers should follow?
