How DID she do it?!

I took the day off yesterday so that I could go to a few Doctors appointments and spend a little time with the "girls".

When I came home I felt like someone had smacked me in the face - the daily chores just seems so overwhelming.  One day off and my messy home looked like a tornado hit it....it looked much worse than the usual mess.

I had been to the cardiologist that morning and was told that I have high blood pressure and that I may need medication.  My mom informed me that medication for high blood pressure tends to make you gain weight.  Well, I am already struggling with being over weight...I really don't need to add to it.  So with so many things going through my head I began to think about my grandmother. She did it all!  And didn't have high blood pressure. Every morning, full makeup, hair done, dressed up (NEVER saw her in jeans), beds made, breakfast on the table....and a spotless house!

How did she keep everything so perfect?  How was her house always tidy?  She worked and prepared all the meals of the day. She was the only one who washed, ironed and put away the clothes.  She was the only one who did ALL the house work.  And THAT is when I had my AH HA moment.

CLUTTER.  STUFF. CRAP.  She had NONE of that.  She tossed it all away.  She didn't save much of anything.

Simple.  Basic.

LESS IS MORE

I look around my home and all I see is stuff!  And overwhelming pile of stuff.  I'm sure that looking at all of my clutter adds to my stress.

Here are some great blogs on how to get rid of clutter!
